Why We Don’t Offer Drop-Ins, Discounts, or Free Trials at Breathe CrossFit

At Breathe CrossFit, we’re often asked why we don’t offer drop-ins, discounts, punch cards, or free trials like other gyms. The answer is simple: our mission is to help people get real results—not just sell workouts. In this week’s podcast, Toni Roy explains the policies that make our gym different and why they’re built to serve members better, not less.

Here’s a breakdown of what we do (and don’t do) and why:

1. No Free Trials or Drop-Ins (Unless You’re Experienced)

We start with a free conversation, not a free workout. It’s called a No-Sweat Intro, and it helps us understand your goals before putting you into a class that might be overwhelming or unsafe. We’re not a commercial gym. We’re a coaching gym—and coaching starts with connection.

2. No Discounts

We believe in equal pricing for all. Offering discounts to some professions and not others creates a line we’re not willing to cross. Our prices reflect the high level of service we provide, including:

  • Personalized goal reviews
  • Regular coach check-ins
  • Accountability support, even for group members

3. No Punch Cards

Punch cards encourage inconsistency, and results come from consistency. We want you to show up 3+ days per week, not whenever it’s convenient. If your schedule only allows for 1x/week, we recommend personal training to make that time count.

4. No Prepaid Memberships

Prepaid memberships lead to complications, resentment, and awkward conversations. Our goal is for members to stay because they see value—not because they’re financially locked in. We keep things flexible so everyone wins.

5. Why We Use 28-Day Billing

It’s more equitable. It keeps your schedule—and our coaching—consistent. It also makes budgeting and accountability smoother on both sides. Monthly billing leads to gaps and misalignment. We want everyone on the same cycle, focused on results.

If you’re asking, “Am I getting my money’s worth?” try this:

  • Take your total payment and divide it by your monthly attendance
  • Ask: Am I seeing results?
    If not, we’ll help you find a solution—whether that’s a change in your program, nutrition support, or something else.

We’re not for everyone. But if you’re coachable, ready to show up, and willing to do your part, we are 100% ready to help you succeed.
