Behind the Scenes: Pregnancy, Gym Growth & What’s Next at Breathe CrossFit

At 29 weeks pregnant, I’m officially in my third trimester—and while pregnancy comes with its own unique shifts, it’s been aligning perfectly with the growth happening at Breathe CrossFit.

I didn’t get the famous “second trimester energy boost” like some people rave about. My pregnancy has been steady—and I’m okay with that. My workouts are slower, but I’m proud to say I’ve maintained a good amount of strength. What I miss most? Plyometrics like jump rope and burpees (yes, really!). What I don’t miss as much surprisingly? Pull-ups.

As my belly grows, I’m embracing movement with more intention. I’m already dreaming about what my postpartum training will look like—ideally a mix of CrossFit, yoga, and even some running to build back endurance. I want performance goals that keep training fun and help me stay strong for what’s next.

Meanwhile, Eli has been full-force in nesting mode—painting the nursery (twice!), organizing the closet, and even borrowing his parents’ tractor to clear trees in our yard. We’re dreaming big about family cookouts, a future swing set, and maybe even a pool thanks to a friend who offered us a full pool kit!

At Breathe CrossFit, we’ve welcomed new coaches and shifted roles to better serve our growing community. We’ve brought on new coaches and I’ve moved into a greater leadership and support role for staff. This has allowed me to spend more quality time with both members and coaches.

One exciting change? We’ve named Keleigh as our new Client Success Manager—aka our “Joy Girl.” Her job is to spread positivity and connection. She’ll be taking care of everything from birthday cards to member milestones to new client experiences.

We’re also planning our first Podium Party—think high school sports banquet but for CrossFit. There will be awards not just for PRs but also for things like attitude, effort, and community spirit. We’ll celebrate members with food, fun, and family. It’s a new tradition we hope will make everyone feel seen and appreciated.

Lastly, we launched our free Facebook group called No BS Fitness. While we still have a private group for members only, this new group is open to anyone who wants simple, actionable advice without the fluff. We’re here to help more people avoid confusion and get real results.

Thanks for being part of this journey with me. Whether you’re a member, coach, or just a fan of the podcast, your support means the world. It’s the best time to be a member at Breathe!
