It’s competition season at Breathe CrossFit, and there’s no better time to be part of our community! From our recent Box Brawl to the upcoming Intramural Open, the gym is buzzing with excitement, friendly rivalry, and PRs galore.
Box Brawl Highlights
Our Box Brawl is an annual in-house competition that brings together “athletes” of all levels for a day of challenging workouts and camaraderie. This year’s event featured a mix of AMRAPs, chippers, and heavy lifting. Teams tackled everything from handstand push-ups to synchronized wall balls. The energy was electric, and many athletes hit personal records, proving just how motivating a little friendly competition can be.
One of the best parts? Watching everyone support each other—whether it was cheering on teammates during grueling burpees or celebrating after a tough workout. Plus, we ended the day with a special announcement: Eli and I are expecting a baby!
Up Next: The Intramural Open
Now, we’re gearing up for the Intramural Open, starting February 28th. This five-week event mirrors the global CrossFit Open but with a fun, local twist. Teams are randomly assigned, and every Friday night, we turn the gym into a lively competition space with Friday Night Lights. It’s not just about winning; it’s about pushing yourself, supporting your fellow athletes, and having a blast!
If you’ve never competed before, this is the perfect opportunity. The Open is for everyone—whether you’re an RX athlete or brand new to CrossFit. Trust me, there’s something magical about the Open. You’ll surprise yourself with what you’re capable of!
